About me

I’ve been surfing forever, it seems. I’ve surfed all over the world. I’ve worked at surf shops. I’ve owned a surf shop. I can’t think of a better way to spend my time.

Except for writing about surfing.

So I created SeaGenerator and put together a small team of like-minded surf professionals. Now we get to talk about and think about and write about surfing all the time. I guess some things don’t change.

Initial Meeting to discuss your project

The Creative Brief. (See below for the breakdown on this important start point.)

These are questions we’ll address. We’ll define the scope, the goals, and what will and won’t be part of the project.

A well-defined project has a much higher chance for success.

Build a project plan

After you have answered the Creative Brief questions, and we’re on the same page, I’ll put together your custom project plan.

Sign the contract

We sign an agreement, with a 50% deposit.

Implement the plan

I’ll get down to the nitty-gritty and write the copy. We’ll have regular check ins to make sure we’re on the same page.

Monitor the metrics

Monitoring the metrics is extremely important. This lets us see where small adjustments can be made in order to achieve maximum performance.

Be happy.

Brand awareness goes up, the brand community grows, brand authority increases, sales increase.

The Creative Brief. An important first step.

What the Creative Brief does is define project goals by answering a series of questions. These are questions, that as a business owner, you’ve probably already thought about. And if not, now’s the time!

Some basic goals that all surf businesses have in mind: Brand awareness, brand trust, brand community, brand authority, brand loyalty, sales conversion.

Examples of copy that buiids brand trust and loyatly by providing value to the customer: email signup discount promotions, welcome email sequences, email education courses, regular blog posts or newsletters, sale notices, event notices.

When you provide value to your customers, they return that value to you through brand loyalty.
